Abstract

This paper discusses challenges of knowledge economy affecting trade and entrepreneurship skill subjects for senior secondary school curriculum in Nigeria. The paper also discusses senior secondary education in Nigeria, history of entrepreneurship programmes in Nigeria, knowledge economy; pillars of knowledge economy, quality education: an essential component of knowledge economy, state of communities in Nigeria and global poverty index comparisons, Nigeria vision 2020, global competitiveness of Nigerian education system, and challenges of trade/entrepreneurship skills subjects.
